Recognized as the breakout helmet at Bern, this Baker Hard Hat Audio Helmet for men is based on the original pro model Baker helmet introduced by two-time snowboard cross gold medalist Seth Wescott at Torino, Italy in 2006. What makes this version of the Bern Baker helmet different is the Hard Hat Brock foam and thicker ABS shell. The Hard Hat versions of Bern ski and snowboarding helmets use open cell foam that feels lighter and far more breathable than conventional EPS hard foam. While Brock foam will offer multiple low-impact protection, it does not meet the action sports head protection defined by ASTM F 2040 and EN 1077B standards found for EPS hard foam designs. The Men's Baker helmet has a snap-out insulated audio liner for four-season applications, making it a popular choice for guys who also kayak or wakeboard after the snow begins to melt.
